One of the first numerous task preparing the march is the complete recce on the field with a teamate from my cycling team.

The memorial ready for dédication: the town of Vielsalm cleaned the site and added big flower pots.

At the top of the hill before Fosse, a halt at the I Co 505PIR monument where this unit lost 13 man there in attacking th village on January 3, 1945.
Au dessus de la colline avant Fosse, une halte au mémorial de la Cie I du 505PIR qui perdit 13 homme là en attaquant le village le 3 Janvier 1945.

The village of Fosse occupied by American troops like in Winter 1944 - 45.

Leaving Fosse, the march goes it's way across the wooded area toward Grand-Halleux.

At Dairomont: dedication of a memorial for the 551 PIBn commemorating a bayonet charge made by Company A in the woods nearby on Jan., 1945.

The march hit the road again to reach the end at Noirefontaine farm.
La marche reprend la route pour gagner la fin à la ferme de Noirefontaine.

End of the march at Arbrefontaine farm: The participants enjoy to meet again around the field kitchen offering hot wine and are presented a beautiful collector certificate.
Fin de la marche à la ferme de Noirefontaine: Les participants ont le plaisir de se rencontrer à nouveau autour de la cuisine roulante offrant du vin chaud et recoivent un magnifique certificat de collection.
